IS THE Smart IPTV MX1000HD Xtream MultiMedia HD TV Box OK TO USE?
The short answer is most definitely Yes! Many people get confused between downloading (which is illegal) uploading copyright material (which is illegal) copying and selling material (which is illegal) and streaming-watching without downloading (which is legal). Our MultiMedia Box does not download, upload, copy or store any Media and in fact has no connection or association with any websites that host (store) any media. The MultiMedia Box simply connects to websites and temporarily streams the data. The data (Movies or TV shows etc.) pass through your internet cables, through the MultiMedia Box to your TV set and is watched by you but is never stored, copied or retained.
ARE THERE ANY FEES TO WATCH MEDIA ON THE Smart IPTV MX1000HD Xtream MultiMedia HD TV Box?
Absolutaly Not. We only ever charge you for the purchase of the MultiMedia Box unit. We will never charge any fees for access to the streaming media. In fact, we do not have any associations, connections or control over the streaming media that you view on the MultiMedia Box. There are 3rd parties who can provide OPTIONAL paid streams that offer e.g. higher quality guaranteed Live Sports Streams but these are entirely of your choice.
CAN YOU GUARANTEE THE QUALITY OF THE STREAMS?
No. We cannot guarantee the quality, durability, longevity or integrity of the streams. These streams originate with 3rd party entities and are completely out of our control or influence. Having said that, as long as you have a good quality broadband connection you will always experience a more than satisfactory stream. The vast majority of streams are good to great quality, many are HD quality. If a stream is not adequate or of a poor quality, there are many many more available, its just a matter of clicking on them.
SHOULD I CANCEL MY EXISTING SATELLITE OR CABLE TV PROVIDER?
That is entirely up to you. Your Smart IPTV MX1000HD Xtream MultiMedia HD TV Box can provide the same and simular type of viewing material (and much, much more), but has no recording or playback facility like some units including that of satellite or cable company providers. If you would like to record your shows then it may be wise to not cancel all your subscriptions, but it is entirely possible to cut them back to the very basic service if you wish, everything else (and more) can be viewed on your MultiMedia Box as long as you have a good quality broadband internet connection at least 4Mb or more will do.
WHAT DO I DO IF THE STREAM IS CONSTANTLY BUFFERING OR FREEZING?
There are two main reasons for this: 1. The stream that you are trying to connect to does not have enough bandwidth to deliver the stream adequately or 2. Your Internet or Wi-Fi connection is inadequate or your internet connection speeds are under 4Mbs or Inconsistant.
The solution to 1. is to simply pause the stream for a few minutes and unpause this works with most streams or you can stop the stream and select a different one.
The solution to 2. you can either upgrade your internet connection or start using an Ethernet (wired) connection instead of a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection this can increase your connection speeds. Please see our computer cables section for a wired solution or look at our HomePlug Adaptors that will use your mains plug sockets for sending internet over you mains sockets without the need for any cables.
THE VIDEO & SOUND SEEM TO BE OUT OF SYNC SOMETIMES
Sometimes a small number of streams have sync issues, if this occurs you can either select another stream or you can adjust the audio to sync with the video, see our how to videos under "Adjust Video & Audio", or you can stop and re-start the video stream this normaly works as well.
SHOULD I USE WI-FI OR A CABLE TO CONNECT MY MULTIMEDIA BOX?
In General, a wired (Ethernet or RJ45 Cable) or HomePlug Trhough Mains solution is always best because a direct connection does not suffer from any interference that Wi-Fi connections are subjected to. The speed of a direct cable connection is always faster than a Wi-Fi connection. If your ISP (Internet Service Provider e.g. BT) have located your broad band router in the same room as your TV then you can connect directly to your MultiMedia Box via a cable. If your Broadband router is in another room or even another floor then you can use Wi-Fi or our Home network kits which will give you a wired connection. See the accessories page for more details.

The governing law imposed will be that of the United Kingdom, the country in which Media Box is based and from which all services are provided.
The relationship between you (the user) and us (MultiMedia Systems, our agents and or partners) is that we provide you a Media Box unit and which is provided to you on a purely non commercial basis and is, therefore, not that of customer and supplier.
Media Box does not host, provide, archive, store, or distribute any media of any kind, and merely suplies the Media Box Hardware and not the software to which acts merely as an index (or directory) of media posted by other webmasters on the internet, which is completely outside of our control. Whereas we do not filter such references, we cannot and do not attempt to control, censor, or block any indexed material that may be considered offensive, abusive, libelous, obnoxious, inaccurate, deceptive, unlawful or otherwise distressing neither do we accept responsibility for this content or the consequences of such content being made available. Material may be inappropriately described or subject to restrictions such as copyright, licensing and other limitations and it is the sole responsibility of those having access to such material to comply with any or all lawful obligations arising from such material coming into their possession and, thus mitigate any alleged transgression. All users undertake to comply with the national laws applicable to the country they reside in and observe the rights inherent in any copyright material whilst upholding the rights of any copyright owner. MultiMedia Systems nor Media Box does not provide any commercial services and there are no actual or implied guarantees as to the availability of any service or the speed, operation or function of the unit, which is offered on a basis to those who choose to comply with the terms detailed within. We reserve the right in our sole and absolute discretion to make changes from time to time and without notice in how we configure our devices. Any description of how our devices work should not be considered a representation or obligation with respect to how the devices will always work. We are constantly making adjustments to our interface and often these adjustments are not completely conveyed immediately within this website or documentation.
MultiMedia Systems & Media Box respects the rights of others, and prohibits the use of referenced material for any purpose other than that for which it is intended (where such use is lawful and free of civil liability or other constraint) and in such circumstances where possession of such material may have any adverse financial, prejudicial or any other effect on any other third party.
MultiMedia Systems is committed to protecting your privacy. MultiMedia Systems does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to any other companies. MultiMedia Systems will not collect any personal information about you except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information
You Agree that the availability of streaming data will change from time to time. The quality of the display and/or the streaming data may vary from device to device, and may be affected by a variety of factors, such as your location, the bandwidth available through and/or speed of your Internet connection. You are responsible for all Internet access charges. So Please check with your Internet provider for information on possible Internet data usage charges before purchase or use. MultiMedia Systems or Media Box makes no representations or warranties with regards to the quality of your watching experience on your TV etc.
The Media Box uses open source software to stream data and as such we cannot and do not warrant the performance of this software, including its compatibility with our devices. We do not warrant that any of the software used in connection with our device will be compatible with other third party software (such as software downloaded and installed from the Google Play store or any other software installed by you from any other source).
LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATIONS LIABILITIES
The Media Box software or services, including our website and devices and all content and software associated therewith, or any other features or functionalities associated with the Media Box services, are provided "as is" and "as available" with all faults and without warranty of any kind. We make no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to the Media Box services, our website and user interfaces, and all content and software associated therewith. MultiMedia Systems or Media Box does not guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of the Media Box device will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you agree that MultiMedia Systems or Media Box may eliminate or otherwise modify any or all aspects of the Media Box device, including features, without compensation or notice to you. MultiMedia Systems and Media Box specifically disclaims liability for the use of any apps or software (including their continuing compatibility with our device). Without limiting the foregoing, we assume no liability or responsibility for any of the following:
(i) Errors or omissions in the content streamed by the Media Box device.
(ii) Recommendations by or advice from our Customer Service department.
(iii) Any failure or interruption in the availability of any Streams or services.
(iv) Delivery and or display of any content contained on the Media Box or website, or otherwise through the Media Box device.
(v) Any losses or damages arising from the use of the content streamed on the Media Box device including any losses or damages arising from downloading and installation of related software, downloading and/or use of any other software or services.
