ABOUT FLAT SCREEN INSTALLATIONS AND HIDING YOUR CABLES

Q. DO WE HIDE YOUR CABLES WITHIN THE PRICE?

A. NO,
When we install your screen this does not include hiding cables as people have all different types of cables and equipment connected to their screens, and in most cases it is almost impossible to hide them without being seen, we do however try to make the cable runs as discreet as possible where ever we can when we install.

Q. CAN I HAVE THE CABLES HIDDEN AFTER THE INSTALL?

A. YES,
You can of cause have all the cables hidden once you have finally had your screen installed and then know where all your equipment and leads have been located, you would need to chase the walls out from the screen to where your equipment is and then plaster and re-decorate,

May we stress though, this is not the best idea as most people change equipment and cables frequently each year and if you need to change or add cables or equipment this is then not possible without chasing the walls again and then re-decorating once again.

Q, IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO HIDE THE CABLES?

A. YES,
This option is to use inexpensive plastic Trunking from screen to your other equipment, this is a cheaper option but again the screen needs to be fully installed first and the cables from the screen need to be connected to your equipment so as to know how many and size of cables are being installed, you can then choose the right Trunking size and type for hiding all your cables.

This can be done at any time at low or no cost and by doing this yourself this will save you a lot of money.

Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHASE WALLS AND HIDE THE CABLES?

A. This work is very expensive to do unless of cause you are good at DIY and can do this yourself or you have a friend or family member who can do this for you.

Chasing walls is primarily a building and decorating job builders charge between £45-£90 per hour and the cost would be dependent on the amount of chasing and plastering of walls needed an average job would cost around £300 to £400 and of cause the walls have to be decorated again this can cost even more if wall paper is required as well.

BUT PLEASE NOTE:
If you chase the walls and then decide to change any equipment or cables at any point, you would then need to do the work all over again; Therefore Trunking is the best option as this means you can change cables whenever required at low or no cost to yourself.

IF YOU STILL REQUIRE YOUR WALLS TO BE CHASED AND THE CABLES HIDDEN AFTER YOUR SCREEN HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
